Wu (2006) established the genus Elagatis with the type species Elagatis tongzaense Wu 2006 . The genus is a valid name in Hemiptera: Coccomorpha: Asterolecaniidae (García Morales et al. 2016); it includes only the type species, known only from China.</p><p>Unfortunately, the name Elagatis Wu 2006 is preoccupied by Elagatis Bennett 1840, a fish genus (Chordata: Actinopterygii: Carangiformes: Carangidae) based on the type species Elagatis bipinnulatus Bennett 1840 . Thus, Elagatis Wu 2006 is a junior homonym of Elagatis Bennett 1840 . According to Article 60 of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature, a new replacement name is proposed for Elagatis Wu 2006: Wuelagatis Jian &amp; Xing nom. nov.</p><p>Etymology. The replacement genus name is derived from S.J. Wu, the author of the junior homonym, combined with the pre-existing name Elagatis; a noun, gender masculine.</p><p>Summary of nomenclatural changes:</p><p>Wuelagatis Jian &amp; Xing nom. nov. Wu (2011) established the genus Mammilla with the type species Mammilla jinzhaiensis Wu 2011 . It is a valid genus in Hemiptera: Aclerdidae (García Morales et al. 2016; Normark et al. 2019) that was previously placed in the family Diaspididae . The genus is monotypic and is known only from China.</p><p>Unfortunately, the name Mammilla Wu 2011 is preoccupied by Mammilla Schumacher 1817, a marine snail genus belonging to Mollusca: Gastropoda: Littorinimorpha: Naticidae, based on the type species Mammilla fasciata Schumacher 1817 . Thus, Mammilla Wu 2011 is a junior homonym of Mammilla Schumacher 1817 . According to Article 60 of the International Code of Zoological Nomenclature, a new replacement name for Mammilla Wu 2011 is proposed: Novmammilla Jian &amp; Xing nom. nov.</p><p>Etymology.
