E104879DFF99FFB5FF1B1825FDC177F9.taxon	discussion	Remarks. Three male specimens respectively from Yunnan (Fig. 20) and Laos are the black form, which is identical to the original description of P. indica. While the examined specimens from Guangdong (Fig. 19) and Fujian both exhibit a strong sexual dichroism. All males from these two provinces match the description of P. fruh- storferi (Ohaus 1902), which had later been considered as a reddish form of P. indica (Ohaus 1905); while females from the same provinces are the black form. The male individuals from Guangxi belong to the reddish form as well. In addition to the two color forms mentioned above, intermediate color forms were also recorded from Vietnam (Kuijten 1992). Besides, parameres of the specimens from Yunnan (Figs. 25, 26) and Hua Phan are longer than specimens from Guangdong (Figs. 23, 24) and Guangxi, with apex acuter. The regularities of the color forms and genital characters from different localities in this species seem to be complex. Examinations of additional specimens from adjacent counties are required to make a summary concerning their taxonomic significances. Natural history. Adults can be attracted by mercury light. Larvae were found in large pieces of decayed wood. The pupa is cradled in the inflated last larval skin (Fig. 43).	en	Zhao, Ming-Zhi (2019): Notes on the genus Parastasia Westwood (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Rutelinae) from China, with description of a new species. E104879DFF9AFFB7FF1B1833FDFE73C7.taxon	discussion	Remarks. P. oberthueri ishigakiana can be distinguished from nominotypical subspecies by the pronotum color of female and aedeagal characters of male (Nomura & Kobayashi 1974). Kobayashi (1983) firstly recorded a male specimen from Taiwan, which was subsequently accepted by Fujioka (2001). However, the specimens of both sexes reported from Taiwan by Yu et al. (1998) were not assigned to a subspecies. As they stated, females from Taiwan possess a black pronotum, normally with four orange spots. Two orange apical spots present on pronotum of the examined female (Fig. 32). The aedeagus (Figs. 36, 37) of the examined male (Figs. 30, 31) is identical to the figures showed by Nomura & Kobayashi (1974). I agree to consider the population from Taiwan as belonging to the subspecies ishigakiana since both sexes had their characters fit descriptions and illustrations of Japanese specimens (Nomura 1964; Nomura & Kobayashi 1974; Sakai & Fujioka 2007).	en	Zhao, Ming-Zhi (2019): Notes on the genus Parastasia Westwood (Coleoptera: Scarabaeidae: Rutelinae) from China, with description of a new species. E104879DFF9AFFB7FF1B1CA2FC2076C8.taxon	discussion	Remarks. So far, there were wide gaps between the records of P. oberthueri (Vietnam, Taiwan of China, Ishigaki Island of Japan). The specimens from southeastern mainland China reported here fill the blank areas. The pronotum of the two examined female specimens are orange, with all margins narrowly darkened, thus these individuals should be regards as the nominotypical subspecies according to Kuijten (1992). Natural History. Adults of two males were found hanging on bird capturing net. Another male and female were observed flying and captured by during daytime (observed by Jin-Teng Zhao). The larva feeds on decayed wood.
