84678793FFC76256DCBBFAF1FCA1FACC.taxon	discussion	Remarks. Two subspecies have been recognised: Z. glaber glaber from China and India and Z. glaber singaporensis from Singapore. They differ from each other by the length of the submetapleural carina and by the black pattern on the mesopleuron and metapleuron. Except for one female specimen from Phu Tho Province, all other Vietnamese specimens lack the central black spot on the mesopleuron and their metapleura are entirely yellow, resembling the nominate subspecies, but the submetapleural carinae are shorter (present on anterior 0.35), resembling subspecies from Singapore. As the differences between two subspecies have not proved to be stable we here synonymise the two names.	en	Pham, Nhi Thi, Broad, Gavin R., Wägele, Wolfgang J. 84678793FFC56250DCBBFA81FC2EFB21.taxon	etymology	Etymology. We name this species is named after Dr Virendra K. Gupta, in honour of his great work on the taxonomy of Zaglyptus. Comparision. The colour pattern of the new species resembles that of Z. miarus Gupta. It differs from Z. miarus by the densely puntate lateral swellings on the second tergite. Moreover, the new species has a nearly complete submetapleural carina (versus present on anterior 0.4 in Z. miarus) and shorter ovipositor (2.0 x as long as hind tibia versus 2.5 x).	en	Pham, Nhi Thi, Broad, Gavin R., Wägele, Wolfgang J.
