            <p> Antonia fedtschenkoi Loew, 1873: 178 . Type locality: Turkestan. (Holotype in ZMHB). </p>
            <p> Antonia gabalensis El-Hawagry, 2009: 3 . [  syn. nov. ]. Type locality: Egypt. Holotype in EFC).  Antonia gabelensis: Evenhuis &amp; Greathead (2015: 291) ,  misspelling of  gabalensis El-Hawagry.</p>
            <p>Distribution. PALAEARCTIC: Egypt, Israel, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.</p>
            <p>Egyptian localities. Sinai: Wadi El-Lega, Wadi El-Shallalah (near Rabbah), Wadi Garagniya.</p>
            <p>Dates of collection: June to September.</p>
            <p>Diagnosis. Vertex entirely black; occiput black, gray dusted; face pale yellow except for a large black spot on the center of the concavity at its upper part between it and bulging part of frons; narrow upper third of frons with a blackish coloration extending downwards forming a longitudinal stripe on the center of the bulging boss-like lower part of frons; facial cone more or less extensively dark brown at tip; scape bare above, with few white hairs beneath; scape and pedicel pale yellow; flagellum black, brownish apically, pyriform, about as long as scape and pedicel together, bare; scutum black; scutellum pale yellow with a narrow black band bordering its base, in addition to a conspicuous and obvious black coloration at angles; cell r5 widely open at margin; abdomen narrow; tergites entirely black with posterior margins whitish gray covered with pure white vestiture, giving a characteristic narrow banded appearance; gonostyli long and narrow, with hook-like recurved apex; aedeagal sheath wide, flattened, becoming wider apically, with a broadly rounded apex.</p>
            <p> Material examined.   Holotype of  Antonia gabalensis : Male,  W. El-Shallalah (near Rabbah, South Sinai) , 30.6.1943 (Efflatoun) (EFC).  Paratypes of  Antonia gabalensis : 2 males and 1 female, same data as holotype (EFC); 2 females, W. El-Lega (South Sinai), 6–9.1941 (Efflatoun) (EFC); 1 male, Wadi Garagniya, 6-8.1942 (Efflatoun) (ESEC). Homeotypes of  Antonia fedtschenkoi : 2 males, Wadi Garagniya, 6-8. 1942 (Efflatoun) (ESEC). </p>

            <p>Distribution. AFROTROPICAL: Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen. PALAEARCTIC: Algeria, Egypt, Italy (Sicily), Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates.</p>
            <p>Egyptian localities. Eastern Desert: Common in different wadies in Eastern Desert. Sinai: Firan, Gebel Serbal, Wadi El-Sheikh, Wadi Gebal. Gebel Elba.</p>
            <p>Dates of collection: March to September.</p>
            <p>Diagnosis. Immediately behind the ocellar tubercle, vertex with two pale yellow spots; face entirely pale yellow except for an oblong black spot at the center of the concavity at its upper part; middle portion at upper part of frons, scape and pedicel with some erect short black hairs; facial cone brownish at tip; cell r5 closed just before the wing margin; scutum brownish black; scutellum pale yellow with the base apparently black; abdomen colored yellowish orange, brownish orange and black, without a conspicuous banded appearance; gonostyli triangular, slightly curved, with a rounded apex; aedeagal sheath wide, flattened and tapering.</p>
            <p>Material examined. 1 male, W. El-Lega (South Sinai) 6–9.1943 (Efflatoun); 3 males, 3 females, Gebel Elba (South Eastern Desert), 16.3 to end of April 1929 (Tewfik); 1 male, 1 female, W. El-Sheikh (South Sinai), 21– 27.4.1934 (Efflatoun) (EFC); 1 male, 1 female, W. Gebal (South Sinai) 21.7.1997 (Magdi) (Personal collection).</p>
