Hyadina is distinguished from other genera in the subfamily Ilytheinae by the following combination of characters: orbital setae very small or absent; both vertical setae present, if outer absent then lateral margins of scutellum densely velvety microtomentose. Thorax without large postsutural dorsocentral setae; anterior notopleural seta absent or very small, posterior notopleural seta large. Wing costa extended to vein M; second costal section less than twice as long as third costal section. Abdominal tergite 4 nearly as long as tergite 5, neither conspicuously punctate (Clausen 1983, Mathis and Zatwarnicki 1998).	en	Zhang, Junhua, Yang, Ding (2009): Species of the genus Hyadina from China (Diptera: Ephydridae). 2706495E7B2BFFF5FF4FF8E0FB90EC01.taxon	discussion	Remarks. This new species is distinctly different from H. sauteri Cresson from the Oriental Region by three white spots of the wing and one strong seta inserted at the extreme tip of the surstylus. In H. sauteri, the two faint white spots of the wing are located on the anterior and posterior sides of the posterior crossvein, and the surstylus has 3 setae at its apex. The new species is distinctly different from H. hivaoae (Malloch) from the Oriental Region by the wing with three white spots, and the hypandrium has no setae. In H. hivaoae, the spots of the wing are absent and the hypandrium has 4 long medial setae (Zatwarnicki 1991).	en	Zhang, Junhua, Yang, Ding (2009): Species of the genus Hyadina from China (Diptera: Ephydridae). 2706495E7B2FFFF0FF4FF93EFC60ECEC.taxon	discussion	Remarks. This species is somewhat similar to H. fenestrata Becker from the Palearctic Region in the wing markings, but it can be distinguished from the latter by the costal vein ratio 1.16 – 1.17 and M vein ratio 0.36 – 0.38, and the yellow legs.
