03AA87B9FFA7EF58FF48FF7CFB3D38BA.taxon	discussion	Comments. Coccophagus breviscapus belongs to the lycimnia - group (Compere 1931), and is very similar to C. hawaiiensis Timberlake (1926), but can be separated from the latter by the following combination of characters: scape 3.22 ̄ 3.44 × as long as wide (vs about 5 ×), all funicular segments subequal in length and width, and F 1 1.40 ̄ 1.57 × as long as wide (vs F 1 obviously the longest funicular, and rather more than 2 × as long as wide), postmarginal vein distinctly shorter than stigmal vein (vs almost as long as). This new species is also similar to C. cooperatus Sugonjaev & Ren (1993), but differs from the latter by having all femora more or less dark brown (vs all femora yellow except profemur dark basally), scape 3.22 ̄ 3.44 × as long as wide (vs 4.5 ×), ovipositor 1.25 ̄ 1.34 × as long as mesotibia (vs as long as), and sensilla on stigma arranged nearly in a line (vs in two lines).	en	Chen, Ye, Li, Cheng-De (2017): Three new species of Coccophagus (Hymenoptera: Aphelinidae) from China, with new distributional data for three additional species. 03AA87B9FFA1EF5AFF48FF7CFB0139C3.taxon	discussion	Comments. This new species is related to species of the zebratus- group (Hayat 1992) in having a subrectangular head in frontal view, low position of toruli, smaller number of sensilla on flagellomeres, relatively long metacoxa, presence of a triangular projection on propodeum posteromedially, swollen stigma and the arrangement of sensilla on the stigma. However, it cannot be assigned to that species group because the head is not subprognathous and the body is not flat. Furthermore, the mesoscutellum of this new species is less transverse (less than 2.0 × as wide as long) and the ovipositor is relatively short (much less than 2.0 × as long as the mesotibia). This is a distinct species and can be easily distinguished from all other species of the genus, including the only two known species in the zebratus- group, C. planus (Sugonjaev) and C. zebratus Howard, by combination of characters listed above and the characteristic patterns of paler lines on the dorsum of the mesosoma, and also by the habitus and colouration of metasoma.	en	Chen, Ye, Li, Cheng-De (2017): Three new species of Coccophagus (Hymenoptera: Aphelinidae) from China, with new distributional data for three additional species. 03AA87B9FFACEF56FF48FC1CFDDB3B57.taxon	discussion	Comments. Coccophagus japonicus is very similar to C. hawaiiensis Timberlake. The most reliable difference is the colour of the mesofemur (in C. japonicus, completely yellow; in C. hawaiiensis, more or less darkened), as noted by several authors (Compere 1931; Liao et al. 1987; Huang 1994; Xu & Huang 2004). In addition to this important character, the examined Chinese specimens also exhibit the following differences that may be helpful to distinguish these two species: in C. japonicus, antenna with scape darker than flagellomeres, metanotum brownish, and postmarginal vein distinctly shorter than stigmal vein; whereas in C. hawaiiensis, antenna with scape paler than flagellum, metanotum yellow medially, and postmarginal vein almost as long as stigmal vein.	en	Chen, Ye, Li, Cheng-De (2017): Three new species of Coccophagus (Hymenoptera: Aphelinidae) from China, with new distributional data for three additional species. 03AA87B9FFAEEF56FF48FC67FD553F0A.taxon	discussion	Comments. One of the reviewers of this paper confirmed our identification through examining the type specimens (holotype, allotype and female paratype) at USNM. Our specimen agrees quite well with the descriptions of Compere (1931), Annecke & Insley (1974) and Hayat (1998). A minor difference should be noted: according to these previous descriptions the body is yellow, without mention of any dark markings, but our specimen from China has the posterior margin of the pronotum and the anterior part of the median area of the mesoscutum narrowly dark brown. Here we provide photos (Figs 28 ̄ 33) for reference.	en	Chen, Ye, Li, Cheng-De (2017): Three new species of Coccophagus (Hymenoptera: Aphelinidae) from China, with new distributional data for three additional species.
