Key to males of Dragomiris (modified from Martins & Monné 1980; Di Iorio 1996):

1. Prothorax with parallel lateral margins; punctation on pronotum, lateral and ventral sides (Fig. 2c) of prothorax fine, with reticulated aspect; marginal anterior band on prosternum apparently narrow, not clearly delimited, provided with a dense pubescence (Fig. 3c); basal half of elytra with minute punctation, and finely corrugated in apical half.......... D. quadricornutus

1’. Prothorax not distinctly robust, not wider than elytra; punctation on pronotum and lateral and ventral sides of prothorax coarser, with rugose aspect; marginal anterior band on prosternum wide, transversely striate, with sparse setae; basal half of elytra with coarse and dense punctation, not coalescent, and coarsely corrugated posteriorly.......................... 2

2. Median area on pronotum vague, ill-defined (Fig. 2a); mesosternum separated from mesosternal process by bifurcated ridge (Figs. 3a, 4a); mesosternal process elevated respect to mesosternal plane; metasternum without tubercle against posterior margin of mesosternal process (Fig. 4a)................................................................. D. major

2’. Median area on pronotum well-defined (Fig. 2b); mesosternum separated from mesosternal process by obsolete bi-arched ridge (Figs. 3b, 4b); mesosternal process slightly depressed with respect to mesosternal plane; metasternum with tubercle adjacent to posterior margin of mesosternal process (Fig. 4b)........................................ D. orientalis sp. n.

Dragomiris orientalis Zubarán , sp. n.

(Figures 1, 2b, 3b, 4b, 5, 6, 7b, 9)

Male. Integument mostly reddish brown, nearly black on head, pro-, meso- and metathorax; somewhat paler in legs, tarsi, antennae, and abdominal ventrites; basal third of elytra darkened, light reddish brown on distal 2/3.

Prothorax transverse, wider anteriorly; lateral margins rounded, slightly convergent anteriorly (Fig. 2b); anterior margin straight; prothorax narrowly constricted posteriorly. With coarse, dense, coalescent punctation on surface of prothorax giving corrugated appearance, except wide, shining central area of pronotum with differentiated sculpturing, and smooth on its posterocentral half. With one small, elliptical, oblique, shining callosities each side of posterior half of pronotum (Fig. 2b); sides of prothorax with shining, irregular, longitudinal callosity scarcely visible from above (Fig. 2b) in anterior half, and a third smaller, rounded, well-defined placed in posterior half (Fig. 2b). Elytral punctation dense, punctures not coalescent and progressively less well-marked from middle toward apex (Fig. 5). Ventral punctuation dense, fine; with short, abundant yellowish setae. Legs with fine punctures.

Genitalia. Tegmen with broad distal region, divided into two parameres, with rounded apices and short setae (Fig. 9a). Middle lobe: ventral lobe elongate, with rounded apex; basal processes shorter than apical portion (Fig. 9b). Internal sac with two sclerotized, sinuous pieces (Fig. 9c).

Measurements (mm): prothorax length, 8.2; maximum prothoracic width, 11.3; humeral width, 11.2; elytral length, 28.7; total length (from apex of mandible to elytral apex), 46.2.

Female: unknown.
