039582759E0C9F18FF5DFECF11A51A9D.taxon	discussion	Remarks. This species was described from Guangxi by Li and Xing (in Li et al., 2011), based on one male and one female specimen deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University, China. The original figure of the aedeagus shows the apex acute and recurved dorsally rather than rounded as in the specimen studied here. This species is similar to S. spinulosus Li and Song, but can be distinguished by the ochraceous vertex lacking a transverse band across eyes, and the lateral spine on the connective process.	en	Wen, Chao, Chen, Fangying, Dai, Wu (2017): A review of the leafhopper genus Scaphoideus (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Deltocephalinae) from Guangxi of China, with description of one new species. 039582759E039F11FF5DFA4311EC190D.taxon	discussion	Remarks. This species was described by Li and Dai in 2004 from China. Dr. Jichun Xiang (personal communication) confirmed that the male genitalia illustrated here agree with the male genitalia of the holotype and that Li and Dai (2014) incorrectly described and illustrated only one apical process at the apex of the aedeagal shaft. This species is very similar to Scaphoideus assamensis Distant, 1918 but there is a slight difference in the robustness of the aedeagal shaft and the dorsal apodeme between the two species. Here both are tentatively retained as valid species. S. palingus can be distinguished by the shorter spindle-shaped markings on the vertex, and the short and straight aedeagal shaft with a pair of short apical processes.	en	Wen, Chao, Chen, Fangying, Dai, Wu (2017): A review of the leafhopper genus Scaphoideus (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Deltocephalinae) from Guangxi of China, with description of one new species. Viraktamath and Mohan (2004) described Scaphoideus spiculatus from India, which is treated here as a junior synonym of S. yingjiangensis Wang & Li based on examination of the paratype male and additional material. Although the aedeagus of the holotype and paratype of S. spiculatus differ in the shape, there are a few specimens sharing variation in the form of the dorsal apodeme and curvature of the shaft collected from China and hence the synonymy.	en	Wen, Chao, Chen, Fangying, Dai, Wu (2017): A review of the leafhopper genus Scaphoideus (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae: Deltocephalinae) from Guangxi of China, with description of one new species.
