A–I) Body small in size. Head does not protruding above pronotum. Vertex slightly surpassing beyond the compound eyes, and the anterior margin is slightly arc-shaped, median carina conspicuous, its widest 1.8–1.9 times diameter of eye. Vertex is near-vertical to frontal ridge in lateral view, and the included angle is arc-shaped. The frontal ridge concave between lateral ocelli distinctly, and slightly protuberance between antennae. Width on frontal ridge between antennae is nearly equal to the width of 1st antennal segment. Antennae filiform, located under lower margin of compound eyes, 14 or 15 segments, and the length of a segment in the middle of antennae is about 4.26–4.93 times of width. Compound eyes round. Lateral ocellus situated in the middle of eyes. Pronotum tectiform. Median carina of pronotum sheet uplifting slightly, upper margin of pronotum arc-shaped protuberant more or less, and not strongly arched. Anterior margin of pronotum protrudes obtusely, and the lateral carinae in prozona parallel. Shoulder angle of the pronotum obtuse angle-shaped; and without a pair of longitudinal keels between shoulders. The apex of pronotum with a triangular concave. Hind process of pronotum short wedge-shaped, reaching or not reaching the end of epiproct, slightly not reaching 4/5 of hind femur. Lower margin of hind process of pronotum straight more or less, and lateral carina slightly arc-shaped. The posterior margin of lateral lobe of pronotum with two concaves, and the second is extremely shallow, the posterior apex of lower margin rounded and downward. Wings absent. Lower margin of anterior and median femora waved slightly. Hind femur stubby, length 2.55–2.86 times its width, pre-knee teeth nearly rectangular, and the apex of knee teeth blunt. Hind tibia with 7–10 spines on outer side and 7–9 spines on inner side. First segment of hind tarsus longer than the third one, and the third pulvilli of first tarsus slightly longer than the second pulvilli. Subgenital plate triangular, apex with notch.

Female (Figs. J–L) Body larger than male. The maximum width of vertex 1.74–2.05 times diameter of eye. The length of a segment in the middle of antennae is about 3.75–4.00 times of width. Length of upper valve is 2.75–3.60 times its width. The center of posterior margin of subgenital plate triangular projection. Others as the same as male.

Coloration: Body yellowish-brown. A pair of black spots on the back of humeral angles.

Measurements: Body length: ♂ 8.62–10.19 mm, ♀ 11.27–13.57 mm; Pronotum length: ♂ 7.67–8.72 mm, ♀ 8.70– 9.66mm; Hind femur length: ♂ 5.65–6.54 mm, ♀ 6.58–7.20 mm.

The new species is allied to Aalatettix longipulvillus Zheng & Mao, 2002, the major differences are listed in Table 1.

TABLE 1.
