038C87E2FFFE0C0EB04F784AFDF4FEB5.taxon	description	Male genitalia (Fig. 4): Tegumen narrow, small, longer than wide. Uncus short, ca. 1 / 4 length of aedeagus, gradually broadening terminally, slightly rolled in lateral view, apically with 4 downward directed points. Gnathos short, attenuate terminally, but not acute. Valva short, fairly slender, with short projection basally; cucullus slender, clavate. Aedeagus long with strongly sclerotized area ventrally, four times as long as uncus, slightly arched, broadened in distal half, several minute cornuti in vesica; coecum thickened, 1 / 2 length of aedeagus. Female genitalia (Fig. 5): Papilla analis slender, narrowed terminally. Corpus bursae long, ovate, membranous towards middle, minutely spiculated from junction with ductus bursae to middle; small stellate signum near middle with a pointed termination. Ductus bursae very short, ca. 1 / 6 length of corpus bursae, covered with numerous spinules, rather densely distributed around middle part to the entrance of corpus bursae. Ductus seminalis arising near junction of corpus bursae and ductus bursae. Material examined: 2 ♂, 6 ♀, Otter Cave, Donggang River, Youngweol, Prov. Gangweondo, 12. IX. 1998 (B. K. Byun) genitalia slide number KNIC 715 (♂), 714 (♀). Distribution: Korea (new record), Japan. Host: Unknown. Remarks: The species has two or three generations a year, with adults collected from late spring to fall. According to Inoue (1982), this species overwinters in the adult stage as do many Alucitidae. Pterotopteryx koreana sp. nov. (Figs. 6 – 9) Types: HOLOTYPE ♂, Unduryeong, Mt. Gyebang, Prov. Gangweondo, 14. VI. 1995 (B. K. Byun) — genitalia slide number KNIC 716 (♂), Type Serial Number: KNICT 121. PARATYPE ♀, Unduryeong, Mt. Gyebang, Prov. Gangweondo, 14. VI. 1995 (B. K. Byun) — genitalia slide number KNIC 717 (♀), Type Serial Number: KNICT 122. Diagnosis: This species is superficially very similar to A. japonica (M.) but differs by its longer uncus lacking a forked apex and its longer gnathos. The most conspicuous difference is the large triangular juxta of male genitalia. Description: Adult. Head (Fig. 7): Densely scaled, whitish ashgray. Labial palpus whitish dorsally, ca. 2.5 times as long as horizontal diameter of compound eye; 2 nd segment with dense scaling, ca. 1.5 times as long as horizontal diameter of compound eye; 3 rd segment slender, pointed terminally, nearly as long as horizontal diameter of compound eye. Thorax (Fig. 6): Whitish dorsally. Wingspan 15 mm. Forewing divided into six lobes, deeply emarginated between the first cleft; 1 st lobe with 7 small slender spots, width of middle area ca. 0.30 mm; spots I – III weak reaching 1 / 3 of each lobe; spot III small close to spot II, just before branching point between 1 st and 2 nd lobes; spots IV – VI somewhat wide, reaching to the middle of each lobe; spot IV slender but distinct; apical spot very small, at apex; median fascia on 3 rd – 6 th lobes located at the level of costal spot IV, more than twice as long as costal spot IV; subterminal spots on 3 rd – 6 th lobes at the level of costal spot V nearly same length as median spots. Hindwing color and pattern similar to that of forewing, but somewhat weaker. Male genitalia (Fig. 8): Uncus narrow in lateral view, rather attenuate terminally, dull flintheadshaped in front view, slightly widened below apex, then narrowed near middle, approximately as long as tegumen. Gnathos short, half as long as uncus, acute terminally. Valva somewhat broadened laterally, strongly sclerotized in basal half, membranous beyond 2 / 3 length; cucullus short, 1 / 3 length of valva, rounded terminally. Juxta long triangularshaped, membranous. Aedeagus nearly straight, strongly sclerotized ventrally, longer than valva; coecum 0.7 times as long as aedeagus; two large cornuti in vesica. Vinculum with rectangular posterior margin. Female genitalia (Fig. 9): Papilla analis narrowly rounded terminally. Corpus bursae long, somewhat ovate, membranous, granulated on posterior half, with somewhat rounded signum comprising of a group of minute dull spinules at middle. Ductus bursae ca. 1 / 3 length of corpus bursae, spiculated from ca. 1 / 3 to corpus bursae. Ductus seminalis arising just after junction of corpus bursae and ductus bursae.
