Contrary to the general custom of designating as a lectotype the material deposited in the herbarium of the author of the name, Barreto (1999) indicates a specimen in HAC, but does not specify which of those existing there. Here, one of the three materials of Bro. Clement 135 existing in HAC (second step lectotypification), which has the same type of label as the one deposited in NY, is indicated as a lectotype.

Distribution: —Endemic to central-eastern Cuba: Las Tunas (Dumañuecos) and Santiago de Cuba (Renté in the bay of Santiago de Cuba, and from Aguadores to Siboney).

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/03FB87FCE934C731FF7CCE463717F78E	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply. Wright 2360 collection, but not a single specimen, since a particular herbarium is not specified. Therefore, all the duplicates of C. Wright 2360 corresponding to this entity (without considering those that under the same C. These elements were not considered by Barreto & Beyra (1998) when designating the material deposited in HAC as a lectotype, who carried out this nomenclatural act due to the destruction of the existing one in B considered as a holotype. However, regardless of the reason for the lectotypification carried out by Barreto & Beyra (1998), it is valid.

https://treatment.plazi.org/id/03FB87FCE935C730FF7CC84B377AFA64	Public Domain	No known copyright restrictions apply.
