Trioza brachyceraea has been known only from the holotype from France, while T. rapisardai was known from three places in the Susa Valley, Piedmont, in northern Italy. A comparison of the holotype of T. brachyceraea with paratypes of T. rapisardai housed in the collections of the BMNH and MHNG showed that they are conspecific.
