03C48789FFC6021A508F22E5FA8227DE.taxon	diagnosis	Diagnosis. Head and mesosoma black and pale yellow, metasoma mostly reddish-orange; face and clypeus finely and rather sparsely punctate on granulate background; ventral margin of clypeus evenly convex, without distinct median concavity; antenna with 32 flagellomeres; mesosoma and metasoma densely punctate to punctategranulate, except ventral half of pronotum rugose, scuto-scutellar groove and speculum area smooth; anterior transverse carina of propodeum entirely lacking. Female unknown. Differential diagnosis. Differentiated from all other Afrotropical Lycorina species by the fine punctategranulate sculpture of the face and clypeus. The mottled colour pattern partly falls within the range defined for L. globiceps, but this latter species is significantly smaller, has the anterior transverse carina present on propodeum, a distinctly notched clypeus and a distinct sculpture on face. The long antenna is also a diagnostic character for L. jacksonfive, though we lack specimens to assess its variability.	en	Rousse, P., Noort, S.
