Lactistes obesipes Signoret, 1879: 234 .
Material examined: AUSTRALIA, Northern Territory, Humpty Doo 15-8-2018, leg. Laurie Cookson, 1 ex.
Distribution (Lis J.A. 1996, 1999; Lis J.A. & Lis B. 2008): China ( Guangdong). The species was originally described from “New Holland”. However, due to the possibility of its lectotype being mislabelled, it was removed from the Australian Cydnidae faunal list (Lis J.A. & Lis B. 2008). The present record confirms the occurrence of the species in Australia.
