Type material. Holotype ♂ [sex not confirmed] ( Figs 57–60 View FIGURES 57–60 ): ‘Andranomandevy / Didy 1039 m / Ambatondrazaka [erroneously listed by Wolfrum as ‘A. batondazaka’] / X 56 [October 1956] E.R. [p] // Institut / Scientifique / Madagascar [p] // Typus [rectangular red label, h] // Anhelita / brevipes / sp. nov. Wolfr. [h]’ ( MNHN).

Other material examined. 1 ♀ Anhelita cf. brevipes ( Figs 61–65 View FIGURES 61–65 ): N Madagascar, Montagne d’Ambre Nat. Park , circ. Mille arbre, S12°31’10”; E49°10’31”, 1069 m, 4.–8.xii.2019, M.
