Diagnosis. Ancylosis reginella is a small species distinguishable by the brown forewing having a white costal band mixed with some brown. The male genitalia are distinguishable from other species by the uncus with a bluntly rounded apex, the broad gnathos reaching 1/3 length of the uncus, the elongated and narrow valva with a rounded apex, and a small digitate clasper. The differentiating characteristics of the female genitalia are the convex anterior margin of the eighth tergum, the ductus bursae broadened in proximal 1/6, uniformly slender in distal 5/6, with several small cone-shaped spines, the large rounded corpus bursae with small and large cone-shaped spines concentrated in the distal half.
Distribution. China ( Ningxia), Mongolia.
Note. This species is newly recorded in China.
