Material examined. 3♀. Vietnam: HOA BINH: Ha Son Binh Prov. [= Hoa Binh], Da Bac, Tuly [= Tu Ly], forest, 19.X.1990, S. Belokobylskij leg. [1♀ ZISP] ; GIA LAI: Gia Lai Con Tum Prov. [= Gia Lai], 20 km N Buon Luoi, Tram Lap , 13.II.1993, A. Gorochov leg. [1♀ ZISP] ; LAM DONG: South Annam Lam Dong Prov. [= Lam Dong], Cat Tien , III.2004, A. Anichkin & A. Evsyunin leg. [1♀ ZISP] .

Identification source. Compared with types [ TARI] .

Previous record. This species was recorded from Vietnam by Lelej (2005) without reference to voucher specimens. Okayasu et al. (2018) examined a single female specimen of this species, but additional locality data were unavailable.

Distribution. China. Vietnam: Hoa Binh *, Gia Lai *, Lam Dong *.

Occurrence in Vietnam. February, March, October.Northern Indochina subtropical forests, Southern Annamites montane rain forests, and Southeast Indochina dry evergreen forests ecoregions. Forest.

Sex association. Male unknown.

Remarks. Compared to Pe. leleji , this species has larger golden-tinted discal spots on the second metasomal tergum and a more angular mesosomal shape.
