Identification source. Compared with voucher specimens from Thailand ( Okayasu et al. 2021a) [ TUA].

Previous record. This species was recorded from Hanoi and Son La by Okayasu et al. (2021a).

Distribution. China. Taiwan. Thailand. Vietnam: Cao Bang *, Son La, Hanoi, Ha Tinh *.

Occurrence in Vietnam. May, July, December. Northern Indochina subtropical forests, Red River freshwater swamp forests, and Northern Annamites rain forests ecoregions. 30 m alt.

Sex association. This species was described from both sexes collected “together”.

Remarks. Photos of the holotype of Trogaspidia pacifica are available in Chan et al. (2025). Morphologically, the male of this species can be confused with the Eotrogaspidia males ( Okayasu et al. 2021a). However, they are distinguished by the shape of male genitalia.
