Genus Wallacidia Lelej & Brothers, 2008 urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act:6E07EA14-51B6-4799-98C3-51B0C654B5B8
Radoszkowskius Ashmead, 1903 : Lelej 1996b: 17, ♂ ♀; Lelej 2005: 82, ♂ ♀. Misidentification.
Wallacidia Lelej & Brothers, 2008: 64 View Cited Treatment , ♂ ♀; Pagliano et al. 2020: 294. Type species: Mutilla oculata Fabricius, 1804 (♀), by original designation.
Diversity and distribution. This genus is predominantly Oriental in distribution and reaches the Palaearctic part of China. Twenty-two species are currently known (Lelej 2005; Pagliano et al. 2020).
Remarks. This genus was erected to accommodate Timulla (Trogaspidia) oculata ( Fabricius, 1804) (now Wa. oculata ), Timulla (Trogaspidia) philippinensis ( Smith, 1855) (now Wa. philippinensis ), and their subspecies. Pagden (1949) and O’Toole (1975) provided keys to those subspecies, covering about half the species of the present Wallacidia .
