Material examined. 1♂. Vietnam: BAC KAN: Ba Be Natl. Park, vicinity dorm annex, grassy scrub, 19–25.V.1995, J. Swann leg., Malaise trap, ROM 956105 [1♂ ROM] .

Identification source. Keyed using Lelej et al. (2017) and compared with the original description.

Previous record. None.

Distribution. China. Vietnam *: Bac Kan.

Occurrence in Vietnam. May. South China-Vietnam subtropical evergreen forests ecoregion. Grassy scrub.

Sex association. This species was described from both sexes collected from close localities in Hainan, China.

Remarks. This species was regarded as being restricted to Hainan Island and thereby being geographically separated from the continental species Ze. saepes ( Chen, 1957) ( Lelej et al. 2017). However, the occurrence of Ze. pangi in Vietnam suggests their overlapping distribution.
