Identification source. Compared with voucher specimens from Laos and Thailand ( Okayasu et al. 2021a) [ EUMJ, TUA].
Previous record. This species was recorded from Hanoi and Hoa Binh by Williams et al. (2019b) and Okayasu et al. (2021a).
Distribution. Laos. Malaysia. Thailand. Vietnam: Thai Nguyen *, Hanoi, Hoa Binh, Ha Tinh *, Kien Giang *.
Occurrence in Vietnam. May, July, October to December. South China-Vietnam subtropical evergreen forests, Red River freshwater swamp forests, Northern Vietnam lowland rain forests, Northern Annamites rain forests, and Tonle Sap-Mekong peat swamp forests ecoregions. 30–300 m alt. Meadow, forest.
Sex association. This species was described from both sexes collected in copula.
Remarks. Unlike most Vietnamese mutilline females, the whitish setal patches on the disc of the second metasomal tergum are composed of mostly sub-erect sparse setae.
