Kurzenkotilla annamensis Lelej, 2005: 171 , ♀, holotype ♀ ( Naca , Con River, Nghe An, Vietnam) [ IBSS]; Zhou et al. 2018a: 25, ♀ ; Pagliano et al. 2020: 225; Lelej et al. 2023: 459, ♂ ♀; Boutin & Vilhelmsen 2024: supplementary table S2, S3, ♀.

Material examined. 1♀. Holotype ♀: Vietnam: NGHE AN: Con River, Naca , 200 m, 8.IX.1963, N. Kabakov leg. [ IBSS].

Identification source. Voucher specimen (Lelej 2005).

Previous record. This species was described from Nghe An by Lelej (2005). Later, Lelej et al. (2023) recorded this species from Hoa Binh and Ninh Thuan.

Distribution. China. Thailand. Vietnam: Hoa Binh, Nghe An, Ninh Thuan.

Occurrence in Vietnam. May, September. Northern Indochina subtropical forests and Southern Vietnam lowland dry forests ecoregions. 90–200 m alt.

Sex association. This species was initially described from the female only. The male was associated and described by Lelej et al. (2023) based on overlapping distribution and morphological similarity to Kur. harmandi in both sexes.

Remarks. Both Kur. annamensis and Kur. harmandi occur in Thailand and Vietnam, but the former species generally seems to occur farther North and East and the species have not been collected from the same localities.
