Material Examined. LEBANON: 1 male, Kesrouane, Achkout, 23.VI.2004, O. Montreuil leg. ( COM) . SYRIA: 1 male, Kessab, 03.VII.1976, C. Blumenthal ( CGS) .
Distribution. This species was described from Israel ( Haifa). Its presence in Syria was reported by Bezděk (2016) and is here confirmed. We record it here also for Lebanon ( first country record, Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 ).
Remarks. The three species H. joannis , H. indaryi and H. petrovitzi present similar parameres and their identification based on currently available literature may result tricky. They can be separated by the characters in the table 1.
