Chonocephalus kiboshoensis Brues, 1907: 410 View in CoL . Sp. indet.

With the loss of the holotype female from Tanzania ( German East Africa, Kibosho) and in the light of present knowledge of the taxonomically significant features in this genus, a reliable diagnosis of this species cannot be obtained from the original description. The common species of East Africa is C. heymonsi View in CoL (e.g. Disney & Darlington, 1998). However, the relative sizes of the eyes and third antennal segments of C. kiboshoensis View in CoL , as stated by Brues, are incompatible with it being conspecific with C. heymonsi View in CoL . I therefore formally declare C. kiboshoensis View in CoL to be a species indeterminata.
