Material examined. Guinea –Bissau: GUINEA –BISSAU0810, stn 38, 10 °07.6'N, 17°27.4'E, 679 m, 30.X.2008, 1 ovigerous female, 63 × 65 mm (IEO-CD-GB08/243).
Distribution. This specimen is a new record for the study area, off the coasts of Guinea –Bissau and Senegal (Macpherson 1988a). It extends the species bathymetric range ( 261–650 m) to slightly deeper waters ( 679 m).
