Brazil ( Maranhão, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul), Bolivia ( Santa Cruz), Paraguay, Argentina ( Salta, Jujuy, Tucumán). Described from Serra de Caraça ( Perty, 1832: 90).
Specimen examined. BRAZIL, Minas Gerais: Mun. Catas Altas, RPPN Serra do Caraça , 1350 m, male, I.2017, Padre Lauro Palú.
