Remarks. As in P. boquetea , the aedeagus and pygofer of P. calvanoa lack processes. In the original remarks, P. calvanoa was compared with the type-species of the subgenus Varpulana , Polana alata DeLong & Freytag, 1972 but these species differ in the shape of the style and aedeagus.
