Remarks. According to the description and illustrations of this species, the pygofer and aedeagus lack basal processes ( DeLong 1980: 127, figs 1–5). Following the diagnosis of the subgenus Polanana and key to subgenera provided by DeLong & Freytag (1972), this species is here transferred to Polanana .
