Mimasura Hampson, 1910 View in CoL [December] is a junior homonym of Mimasura Hampson, 1910 View in CoL [August]. This generic name was used and made available by Hampson 1910 [August], prior to its proposal and generic description by Hampson 1910 [December]. The date of publication of the former is printed in the separates of Hampson’s Proc. zool. Soc. Bond, paper; the date of publication of the latter is given by Collins 1962: 126. There is no objective replacement name but X. tripuncta is congeneric with Mimasura quadripuncta Hampson, 1910 View in CoL , the type species of Mimasura Hampson, 1910 View in CoL [August]. The latter is therefore available for use as a subjective replacement name ( Nye 1975).
