3. Dyopsinae were reinstated by Zahiri et al. (2013) based on molecular data. Subsequently, Kononenko & Pinratana (2013) transferred the genera Belciades Kozhanchikov , Chlorognesia Warren , Donda Moore and Viridistria Behounek & Kononenko into the group due to their presumptively synapomorphic similarities. A primary feature uniting members of the subfamily is the structure of hindwing vein M2, which renders the subfamily “pseudoquadrifine.” The counter-tympanal membrane forms a raised, posteriorly projecting lobe that partially or completely overtops the tympanal sclerite ( Zahiri et al. 2013).
