Genetic information. Meganola palaeographa has been assigned the BIN URI: BOLD ABW4980. The intraspecific divergence calculated from 13 samples is 0.00–0.73%. The genetically closest species are M. fontainei , M. trigonographa and M. dicranographa diverging by 2.71–3.47%, 2.66–3.75% and 3.30– 3.80%, respectively.
Distribution. This species was initially known only from the Udzungwa Mountains in Tanzania ( Hacker et al. 2012, Hacker 2014). László (2020) reported records of the species in West Africa, including Côte d’Ivoire and Liberia. In the current study, M. palaeographa was also found in Gabon, Guinea, and the Republic of Congo, indicating a wide equatorial distribution.
