Genetic information. Meganola aarviki has been assigned the BIN URI: BOLD AAP3225, and the species is BIN-sharing with both subspecies of M. furvitincta and M. spherographata sp. n. As only one sample was included in the genetic analyses, the intraspecific divergence could not be calculated. The PWD from M. furvitincta furvitincta , M. furvitincta poliographa and M. spherographata sp. n. is 1.86– 2.02%, 2.17% and 0.00–2.33%, respectively. The pairwise genetic distances between this species and M. fontainei and M. trigonographa are 2.90–3.21% and 2.99–3.29%, respectively.
Distribution. The species was described from Kisangani ( DRC). A female paratype from Odzala National Park, illustrated in Hacker et al. (2012), belongs to M. trigonographa Hacker, 2012 . However, the identity of a second paratype specimen from Kenya, which is not illustrated, remains uncertain. This species is relatively abundant in northern Congo, where a long series was collected in the Nouabale-Ndoki and Odzala-Kokoua National Parks. Additionally, a single, somewhat worn male specimen from Tai National Park in Côte d’Ivoire can be confidently identified as M. aarviki based on its genital characteristics.
