Comentarios: El holotipo y único ejemplar conocido de M. peritus es el mismo citado por B. LUTZ (1954:161) como Phryniscus ( Dendrophryniscus) moreirae, recolectado por el ornitólogo Dr. HELMUT SICK “...em certo trecho da Serra da Mantiqueira...”.
