Checklist of the Asian Species of Orbellia View in CoL :
1. O. amurensis Gorodkov, 1972
2. O. fusca sp. nov.
4. O. tetrachaeta Gorodkov, 1972
7. O. zhangi sp. nov.
Based on the distribution records in Catalogue of Palaearctic Diptera, Vol. 10 ( Gorodkov, 1984) for the family Heleomyzidae , O. montana and O. tetrachaeta are recorded from Russia, including the Caucasus region.Additionally, O. zaitzevi is reported from Bakuriani, Georgian, Transcaucasia. These areas lie within the Caucasus, which serves as a natural boundary between Asia and Europe. Specifically, modern-day Georgia, located in the southern part of the Caucasus, is geographically situated in Asia, even though it has historically been seen as a transitional zone between the two continents.
