Encarsia agona collection and rearing
The initial collection method involved collecting parasitised puparia of the B. tabaci species-complex cassava leaves and placing them in Petri dishes, as described by Otim et al. (2005). Emerged adult were preserved in 70% ethanol. As part of the African Cassava Whitefly Project (ACWP), more were reared and persevered in 95% ethanol for both morphological and molecular characterisation
