Range: — Introduced and widely naturalized in the Neotropics : Mesoamerica , Antilles, Colombia, Venezuela, Trinidad, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, Peru, Bolivia (CO), and Brazil. Ecology: —Rare (known from 4 collections) ; in primary and secondary forests, near road margins; 200–300 m. Notes: —Fronds pedate, proximal pinnae very large, the central portion of the blades 1-pinnate-pinnatifid, venation copiously areolate with 1 long costal areole parallel to the costa between adjacent costules.
