Isarthrus rufipes (Melsheimer, 1844)
In Canada, this eucnemid species was previously recorded from Ontario. In the United States, I. rufipes have been recorded in Alabama, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin ( Muona 2000; Otto 2022b; Otto and Karns 2017). Kentucky is confirmed as a new state record. One specimen was taken from a Lindgren funnel trap placed in an unburned forested area.
