External diagnosis ( Ball & Reynoldson 1981; Ball & Sluys 1990). Dorsal color usually pale or brownish gray. Two dark longitudinal stripes, inconspicuous in dark specimens, run over the dorsum and often unite with a dark saddle over the pharynx. Ventral surface pale.
