External diagnosis ( Hyman 1941). Largest specimen 12 mm long but still immature. Anterior end narrow, quickly widening to a flattened body. Eyes surrounding the anterior end in a single row, then suddenly widening to four or five rows laterally and gradually decreasing in number toward the posterior end. Dorsum brown with three black stripes, a broad median one and narrow lateral ones. Toward the margins there is a noticeable increase in black pigmentation, making them quite dark but without a defined stripe. Ventral side drab ( Figure 14c View FIGURE 14 ).
