2. Christella thailandica (S. Linds.) R.Ojha View in CoL , comb. nov.
Basionym: ≡ Cyclosorus thailandicus S. Linds. (2008: 47) .
Type:— THAILAND. Phetchaburi: Amphoe Kaeng Krachan, Kaeng Krachan National Park , trail from KU Camp along Phetchaburi River , 12°51’ N, 99º18’ E, 27 March 2003, D.J. Middleton, C. Hemrat, S. Lindsay, S. Suddee & S. Suwanachat 1748 ( holotype BKF, GoogleMaps isotype A [ 00269867 ]!). GoogleMaps
Distribution:— Thailand.
Note: Cyclosorus thailandicus S. Lindsay was described in Lindsay et al. (2008: 47) as closely related to Christella zeylanica ( Fée 1865: 42) Holttum (1974: 208) , but differing in the position and arrangement of sori and the structure of indusia. Among the existing generic concepts in the family, the authors adopted the recent classification by Smith et al. (2006), modified from Smith (1990) for the description of the species in the genus Cyclosorus . Lindsay et al. (2008) also overlooked another similar species, Christella semisagittata ( Roxburgh 1844: 491) Holttum (1976: 334) , which has been kept as a separate species from Christella zeylanica (Fée) Holttum (Holtum 1976, Fawcett & Smith 2021) is often considered the same species by Jenkins et al. (2017). Christella thailandica (S.Linds.) R.Ojha can be distinguished from Christella semisagittata (Roxb.) Holttum by more deeply lobed pinnules (c.> 2 mm), the second pair of veins reaching up to sinus, and closely placed confluent sori (vs. shallowly lobed pinnules up to 1 mm, only the first pair of veins reaching up to sinus, and medial sori) ( Roxburgh 1844, Holttum 1976). All the species used by Lindsay et al. (2008) for the comparison have wellaccepted combinations in Christella , so here a new combination is proposed for this taxon.
