Distribution. Brunei ( Burtt, 1997); Sabah, Sarawak ( Hilliard et al., 2003).
Notes. Specimens previously cited as being Cyrtandra sarawakensis in Beaman et al. (2001) are now considered C. coacta . Some specimens from Brunei cited as being Cyrtandra sarawakensis in Burtt (1997) have subsequently been identified as C. coacta by Hilliard in the herbarium in E but are not listed in her account of sect. Pleuroschisma ( Hilliard et al., 2003) , so the presence of this species in Brunei needs to be confirmed.
