Palawan, ix 1910, Merrill 7247 (lectotype K [K000831632], designated by Olivar et al., Taxon 71: 1092 (2022); isolectotypes BM [ BM000798279 ], L [L.2825938], NY [ NY00312663 ], P [ P03555568 ], US [ US 00126276]) .

Distribution. Philippines ( Elmer, 1913; Atkins & Cronk, 2001; Olivar et al., 2022); Sabah ( Burtt, 1970; Beaman et al., 2001).

Notes. Burtt (1970) recorded this species in Sabah for the first time and noted that Elmer originally spelled the epithet ‘elatostemmoides’ but later corrected it to ‘elatostemoides’ and also added information about the calyx and corolla that was not included in Elmer’s 1913 description. The name was lectotypified by Olivar et al. (2022). Cyrtandra kraenzlinii Merr. was placed in synonymy by Merrill ( Merrill, 1923b) and lectotypified by Olivar et al. (2022).
