Bembidion ( Testedium) quadrifossulatum quadrifossulatum Schaum, 1862 View in CoL
Material Examined. I have studied material from Konya province, Turkey (Avgın and Nodmar 2009) and Italy ( Sardegna).
Distribution in Turkey. This species is known from Anatolia (no specific locality) (Casale and Vigna Taglianti 1999) and Konya province (Avgın and Nodmar 2009).
World Distribution. Europe: Greece, Italy; Asia: Turkey ( Marggi et al. 2003). This range exemplifies an East-Mediterranean chorotype.
The distributions of three Turkish species of Testedium representing three chorotype patterns is evidence that Turkey represents a crossroad of faunas from the west, east, and south. With the new record of B. capito in the Amanos Mountains in south-central Turkey, four species of the Bembidion subgenus Testedium are now known from Turkey.
