Cernosvitovia pannonica ( Cognetti, 1906) comb. nov.
Helodrilus ( Eophila) ictericus var. pannonica Cognetti, 1906: 19 .
Helodrilus ( Eophila) (Savigny) v. pannonica Cognetti, 1906
Allolobophora pannonica : Csuzdi 2012; Szederjesi et al. 2019: 125.
Inv. No. V5009 1 ex. (+ 1 ex. juv. cut specimen), Südost-Siebenbürgen , Paring Gebirge ( Parâng Mts, Romania), leg. Ganglbauer ( Lectotype + Paralectotype) .
Remark. The adult specimen has been selected as lectotype by Szederjesi et al. (2019), the cut specimen thus became a paralectotype.
This species was originally described as a variety of A. icterica by Cognetti (1906). Since then, it has been regarded as a relative of C. mehadiensis by Pop (1948), and the genus Serbiona by Mršić (1991).
Regarding its clitellar position, this species is quite similar to the mehadiensis species group however, it clearly differs in the case of other features (e.g., body dimensions and colouration, see Table 2. in Szederjesi et al. 2019: 126). Regarding its habitus, body size and some characters ( 63–109 mm × 4.5– 5 mm, segment number 156–172, strongly thickened septa, light greyish colour, long tubercles) it resembles the C. sturanyi species group, but has the clitellum and tubercles more backward (cl. ½34, 35–46 and tb. 38–46 vs. cl. 27, 28, 29–37, 38, 39 and tb. 28, 29, 30–36, 37, 38).
In summary, the most important characters of this species suggest that it is related to the species now belonging to Cernosvitovia ( Popović et al. 2022) , thus it is hereby transferred to this genus.
