Remarks Te otolith is tentatively assigned to the family Exocoetidae based on its distinctive features. Although the anterior half of the otolith is not preserved, the presence of a thick fringe ventral rim that curves towards the outer face and a wide cauda that is only slightly bent at the tip are characteristic traits observed in otoliths of exocoetids. However, without further details or additional better-preserved specimens, it is not possible to make a more specific identification.
