Current status. Valid ( Carpenter 2001; Fateryga & Proshchalykin 2024; Mauss et al., in preparation).

Remarks. The lectotype is discolored. It is reddish-brown with orange markings, whereas the original coloration in specimens of this species is actually black with yellowish markings (Mauss et al., in preparation).
