Hydrelia shioyana (Matsumura) View in CoL
( Fig. 47 View FIGURES 22–57 )
Hydrelia shioyana View in CoL : Beljaev & Mironov 2019: 269 ( Sakhalin).
Material examined. 1 ♀, Kholmsk, center, 25.VI.2019; 3 ♂, 4 ♀, Yasnomorskoe and Sokhonda mount., 18, 19, 20, 23.VII.2019.
Distribution. Russia (S RFE: SW Sakhalin, S Kurils—Kunashir, S Khabarovskii Krai, Primorskii Krai), Japan ( Hokkaido, Honshu), South Korea.
Remarks. The finding of H. shioyana in Sakhalin significantly expands its distribution range to the northeast. In Japan the larvae feed on Acer pictum ( Sapindaceae ) and Carpinus cordata ( Betulaceae ), of which A. pictum is common in SW Sakhalin.
