Panicum duchaissingii Steud., Syn. Pl. Glumac. View in CoL 1: 93. 1853. — TYPE: “ Duchaissing legit in Guadaloupe” (holotype: P).

Iconography — Henrard (1950: 347, spikelet and upper floret); Vega and Rúgolo de Agrasar (2012: 298).

Geographical Distribution and Ecology — U. S. A. to Argentina. It is frequent in varied habitats as a weed in tropical and subtropical crops, also along the roadsides and sandy lands from sea level to 1,900 m.
