Geographical Distribution and Ecology — Dominican Republic, Caribbean, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, and Argentina. Occurs along roadsides in disturbed areas, in sandy clay lands and in river and stream shores from sea level to 2,500 m.
