Ecology. Intertidal and infralittoral fringe, forming loose-lying tufts of intricated filaments mixed with other filamentous algae.
Distribution. Bangladesh, Diego Garcia Atoll, India, Indonesia ( Bali), Kenya,
Maldives (Addu Atoll), Rodrigues (this paper), Somalia, Sri Lanka.
